PTFE coated Kevlar fabrics, excellent mechanical property
PTFE coated Kevlar fabrics is made with Aramid fiber weaved fabric and coated with high quality PTFE, which is designed for tough environment like heavy conveyor belting, drying belts, wood pressing and laminating, release sheet in carbon fiber gasket and so on.
These applications has high request of the life time and tensile strength, and PTFE coated Kevlar fabrics will be the reliable material, reducing the off line time for the production lines and ensuring the quality of final product.
PTFE Coated Kevlar Fabrics Series
This fireproof cloth is made with high intensity Kevlar fiber (Dupont’s trade name given for Aramid fiber), and coated with PTFE resin by advanced equipment. Kevlar fabric or Kevlar open mesh fabric coated with PTFE is available.
This high performance fabric has excellent mechanical property, much higher tensile strength and longer life time than PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, especially in the working environment which exposed to water, steam and so on, which will reduce the life of PTFE coated glass fabric.
Applications of PTFE coated Aramid fabrics
PTFE coated Kevlar fabric has a yellow color rather than the brown color of PTFE fiberglass.
For the mesh, 4mm by 4mm square mesh size, Kevlar yarns in the warp direction, fiberglass in the weft direction is common for PTFE coated kevlar conveyor belting, 0.40mm thick solid fabric is normal size for PTFE heavy kevlar belts.
And PTFE coated Aramid fabric is also used for edge sealing for conveyor belts. It will protect the belts very well than normal PTFE film sealing.
Bullnose joint is made of PTFE coated Aramid fabrics, it connect the two ends of conveyor belts strongly, which is the most important part related to the life time directly.
PTFE coated Kevlar Fabrics can be made into Anti static according to the needs of the applications.
