PTFE Aramid Fabric with PTFE Casting Film Lamination

ESONE PTFE Kevlar fabric with film lamination (PTFE Cast Film Laminated Fabrics) is an advanced upgrade of our standard PTFE coated Kevlar fabric. By laminating a PTFE casting film/FEP film on the surface, the fabric achieves a completely sealed, pore-free finish, offering superior performance in demanding applications.
Advantages of PTFE aramid fabric with film lamination
- Exceptional Micropore-Free Surface – The laminated PTFE film eliminates micropores, creating a smooth and durable non-stick layer.
- Extended Service Life – Enhanced resistance to wear and tear makes it highly reliable in continuous production environments.
- High Mechanical Strength – Kevlar base fabric (PTFE Cast Film Laminated Fabrics) provides outstanding tensile strength, making it suitable for heavy-duty use.
- Moisture-Resistant – Performs excellently in humid conditions where conventional fiberglass-based fabrics may fail.

In pharmaceutical, life science, and analytical laboratories, vial sealing materials play a critical role in ensuring sample integrity and maintaining the accuracy of experimental results. ESONE PTFE/Silicone composite septa are high-performance sealing materials specifically developed to meet these stringent requirements.
Structure and Working Principle of Silicone and PTFE Laminates
ESONE septa feature a two-layer composite construction:
- PTFE film layer: Provides excellent chemical inertness and solvent resistance, ensuring the sample only contacts inert material and minimizing contamination risks. For PTFE, the characteristic peaks in the approximately 1150 and 1205 cm-1
- Silicone elastomer layer: Delivers outstanding elasticity and resealability. After syringe penetration, the septa reseal immediately, maintaining vial integrity. This unique structure offers a robust chemical barrier while enabling reliable resealing during multiple sampling operations. For Silicone, typical FTIR spectra corresponding to a C-H band for Si-CH3 at 1255 cm-1, Si-O-Si band at 1092 and 1023 cm-1, Si-C from Si-CH3 at 864 and C-H (CH3) at 800 cm-1.
Applications
- Pharmaceutical and life sciences: Secure vial sealing to prevent external contamination.
- Chromatographic research (GC, HPLC, MS): Low background noise and extractables, ensuring accurate test results.
- Scientific and industrial experiments: Suitable for environments demanding purity and high chemical resistance.

In pharmaceutical research and production, accurate microbial testing and reliable gas analysis are critical for product quality and regulatory compliance. Traditional Petri dish covers can present challenges: liquid culture media may leak, dead cells can adhere to instruments, and sensors may become contaminated during oxygen or carbon dioxide monitoring.
To address these challenges, ESONE PTFE/Silicone composite films provide a high-performance solution for covering microbial culture plates while enabling precise gas detection.

How It Works
- Ultra-thin PTFE Layer
- Non-stick surface: The ultra-low surface energy of PTFE makes it inherently resistant to bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation, reducing contamination risks.
- Gas permeability: Ultra-thin PTFE film allows oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases to diffuse freely, while blocking liquid media and microorganisms.
- Chemical inertness: Completely non-reactive with pharmaceutical formulations and culture media, ensuring reliable test conditions.
- Silicone Layer
- Mechanical strength: Provides structural support, ensuring the composite film is easy to handle and securely seals onto culture dishes.
- Elastic sealing: Adapts to lids, dish rims, or analytical instruments, maintaining tight containment during testing.
- Light-blocking property: The black silicone is opaque, ensuring that the petri dishes are not affected by light exposure.
